2008 Residential curbside brush and leaf pickup

Yard Brush will be picked up on the following days in 2008:
March 24th & 31st             October 20th & 27th
April 21st & 28th               

Leaves will be picked up on the following days in 2008:
March 17th          November 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & December 1st

If you have brush or leaves out for pick up on the scheduled days, please call the
Township office at (610) 926-4920 to be placed on the collection route list by the Friday
before the collection date.  

Material being collected must be by the side of the road by 7:00 a.m. on the collection
day.   All collection dates are weather permitting.  If it is raining or snowing, the Road
crew will pick up the next nice day.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT OUT THE FOLLOWING FOR PICK UP:  ornamental grass, grass
clippings, trees or bushes with a diameter greater than 12 inches, trees or bushes with
roots or dirt attached, stumps, dead flowers or garden plants.
Maidencreek fall cleanup—
Sat., September 6, 2008

Township residents may drop off large and small items to be disposed of at the
Maidencreek Township Building on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.
m.

Items being accepted include:  Furniture, clothing, lumber scraps, carpet, metal,
household items, mowers, tires (4 per household) without rims and automotive, SUV and
truck batteries, latex paint, hot water heaters, and hot tubs.
Items that can not be accepted are:  Computers, television sets, hazardous waste,
appliances with Freon, tires with rims, daily household garbage, concrete, brick or block.

The Maidencreek Township building is located on Quarry Road 1/4 of a mile west of the
intersection of Route 222 and Route 73.       
Residential Grass Clipping and Brush Drop
Off Site

Maidencreek Township residents may dispose of their grass
clippings and brush at a drop off site on Maidencreek Road at
the former Vlasic Mushroom Farm.  

Grass clippings must be dumped from the containers used to
transport them to the site into a dumpster or on the concrete
pad.   Empty garbage bags may be deposited in the trash
barrels located on the site.   
DO NOT DUMP ANY OTHER TYPE OF TRASH!

Residents are asked to report anyone that they see abusing the
Drop Off Site to W.D. Zwicky & Sons or the Township. The Drop
Off Center is being provided and maintained by W.D. Zwicky &
Sons free of charge for Maidencreek Township residents.
Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas Tree pick up will occur on:
January 2nd
January 7th
January 14th
All collection dates are weather permitting.  If it is raining or
snowing on collection day, the road crew will postpone pick up
until the next nice day.  

Please place your tree by the side of the road by 7 a.m. on
collection day.  Remove all ornaments and lights.  These
items can cause serious damage to the chipper and the
Township employees.

Mulch will be available to Township residents free of charge in
March.  The mulch pile will be located behind the salt shed
which is across the street from the Municipal Building on
Quarry Road.  No appointment is needed to pick up mulch.  
Mulch is available on a first come– first serve basis.  

Directions:  At intersection of Route 222 and Route 73, take
Route 73 West.  Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Quarry Road.  
Make a right into the first parking lot.  Mulch is behind the
brown salt shed.
Directions:  Take Route 73 west toward Lake
Ontelaunee.  Bear right onto Calcium Road at the
Y.  Bear right onto Maidencreek Road.  Travel
approx. 1 mile.  The Drop Off Center will be on the
right hand side.  Please enter at the first entrance
in the green fence.  The drop off site is located
behind the guard shack on a concrete pad.

Drop Off Center Hours:
Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
