Items to Recycle -
Place these items in your bin:
Please rinse food from cans and
bottles. Remove caps and lids
from plastic and glass bottles.
Bundle these items with string or
place in a paper bag along side
your bin:

green, brown, blue - Plastic bottles with a 1 or a 2
on the bottom - Aluminum and steel/bi-
metallic cans

Containers
If a homeowner needs additional
recycling containers and lids, they
may be purchased at the
Municipal Building, 1 Quarry
Road, Blandon. Township office
hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The cost for a bin is $5.00 and a
lid is $2.50. The Township also
has wheel kits that can be
mounted on the bins and can be
purchased for $12.00.
Property owners are responsible
for the care of their containers
and are responsible for the
purchase of a new container
should their container or lid
become lost, damaged, stolen or
blown away by severe weather.
Residents may use a container of
their own instead of purchasing
an additional recycling bin from
the Township. Please be sure
that your container is clearly
marked with the word
“Recycling”.
