Maidencreek Township Board of Supervisor
Special Meeting
May 11, 2006, 6:46 PM

Present:  Roy Timpe, Robert Kopfer, Claude Beaver, Eugene Orlando, Jr. and Stephanie Dake – Roland &
Schlegel, Tom Unger – Systems Design Engineering, Inc., Keith Shuman – Public Works Director, Diane
Hollenbach – Recording Secretary

Guests:  Penny Hummel, Terry Esbenshade, Stan Bauman, Kim Rosetti, Keith Kauffman, W.Hess, Gloria Kline,
Tina Poole, Cindy Stump, Tina Stewart, Susan Meyers, Mary Dymeck, Chad Dymeck, Jason Valick

Roy Timpe called the May 11, 2006 special meeting of the Maidencreek Township Board of Supervisors to order
at 6:46 PM in the Maidencreek Township Municipal Building.  The purpose of the special meeting was to consider
three draft ordinances for adoption.

Ordinance 202 Uniform Construction Code Amendment
      A motion was made by Robert Kopfer, seconded by Claude Beaver, to adopt Ordinance 202 amending the
Uniform Construction Code to require building permits to install accessory structures 600 square feet and
greater.  All members voted, "Aye."  Motion carried.

Ordinance 203 Emergency Services Tax
      A motion was made by Robert Kopfer, seconded by Claude Beaver, to adopt Ordinance 203 changing the the
Occupational Privilege Tax to the Emergency Services Tax to conform with Pennsylvania Law.  All members voted,
"Aye."  Motion carried.

Ordinance 204 Repeal of the Per Capita Tax
      A motion was made by Robert Kopfer, seconded by Claude Beaver, to adopt Ordinance 204, which repealed
the Maidencreek Township Per Capita Tax.  All members voted, "Aye."  Motion carried.

      Since there was no further business, a motion was made by Robert Kopfer,  to adjourn the May 11, 2006
special meeting of the Maidencreek Township Board of Supervisors.  All members voted, “Aye.”  Motion carried.  
Meeting adjourned at  6:50 P.M.

An executive session was held at the conclusion of the special meeting (6:50 P.M.) until 7:23 P.M. for personnel
matters, litigation and enforcement issues.
