LEGAL NOTICE

MAIDENCREEK TOWNSHIP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Maidencreek Township Board of Supervisors, Berks County, Pennsylvania, at its regular meeting to be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Township Building, 1 Quarry Road, Blandon, Pennsylvania 19510, will conduct a public hearing and will consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance which is summarized as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF MAIDENCREEK TOWNSHIP, BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING THE MAIDENCREEK TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED TO: DEFINE DATA CENTER AND RELATED DEFINITIONS UNDER ARTICLE II; CORRECT  CODE REFERENCE IN SECTION 220-48.C; ALLOW DATA CENTERS, AND RELATED USES BY CONDITIONAL USE IN THE INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICTS; PROVIDE REGULATIONS FOR SUCH USES IN ARTICLE XVI RELATED TO DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS, AESTHETICS, LANDSCAPE BUFFERS AND BERMS, EQUIPMENT SCREENING, EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND ACCESS, NOISE CONTROL, NOISE STUDY, ONSITE GENERATION AND BACKUP POWER, OTHER PERFORMANCE STANDARDS, AIR/GROUND/WATER POLLUTION CONTROLS, DECOMMISSIONING, PARKING, ELECTRONIC WASTE STANDARDS, AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

Copies of the complete text of the Ordinance are available at the Township Building, 1 Quarry Road, Blandon, Pennsylvania 19510, and may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30AM and 4:30 PM (excepting holidays) or at the offices of this newspaper. All interested persons and parties are invited to attend the hearing and offer any public comment concerning the adoption of the ordinance prior to the Board of Supervisors taking any official action on the adoption of the proposed ordinance.
