Pickleball!

The township recently finished creating 4 pickleball courts at the community park. This project has been in the works for a few years now. The courts were originally supposed to be built in the summer of 2023, but they were pushed back due to the flood the community suffered from. These courts were made by the Township’s road crew, who carefully constructed them so we wouldn’t need to hire an outside contractor for them. Progress on the pickleball courts will continue as rules/guidelines for using them are set. It is also possible that fencing will be added in the future for the courts.

Be courteous using the courts and to one another as you play. Pickleball is a great game for all ages and easy to pick up for casual or competitive fun.

Cornerstone Bridge

Since the heavy flooding in 2023, we have been looking into improving the flow of water in our creek. Cornerstone Bridge is susceptible to blocking access for excess water to run to the floodway. Due to the design of the bridge, stone and sediment can build up during heavy rain and cause blockage. In order to avoid future flooding, we have begun planning for a new bridge. This is a project that takes time and won’t be done quickly, but it is in the works. Updates on the bridge will be announced as they occur during our monthly meetings.
